>I am hoping to try and keep this one up, both as a means of remembering what I am meant to do as well as being able to look back and reminisce!

This week will start as week 5 beginning today 30th January- I work Monday to Friday so unless this changes I won’t list it daily!

Monday

Buster will go to the childminders and K to her nanny L’s after school.  MrR took on overtime so will sleep during the day before working the night shift.
I plan to use the cross trainer for one hour once the kids are in bed. I should walk but motivation is lacking.

Tuesday

Similar for most of us apart from K who will be collected from school by MrR
I have an overdue appointment at the beauticians after work and a lunchtime walk planned
Start working on moving my blog over to being self-hosted

Wednesday

MrR is off and will have both children and after I finish work we will hopefully collect my new car and get out for a quick test drive:-)
We will also be bringing K’s broken DSi to see if we can get it repaired as Buster tried to force a game into it the wrong way leaving the prongs bent and broken.  If it can’t be repaired I need to try and find a cheap replacement!
A night on the cross trainer is planned – what joy!

Thursday

First day of my home-start volunteer training- I am nervous already!
Going ice-skating with the girls (who am I kidding I am the youngest and so far from being a girl!) and afterwards for tea/coffee

Friday

Chippy night at my mum and dads house and after a lunchtime walk it will be well deserved.

Saturday

Hopefully getting a longer walk this morning, plan to do 10 to 12 miles
Fingers crossed if I can psych myself up we will do some painting, hand prints and valentines card making with K and Buster
MrR also has plans for us to clear out the outbuildings, something I will do anything to avoid- they are cold and dirty!
If we can get a babysitter maybe a night out at the cinema with MrR

Sunday

Another walk, a shorter one this time
Sunday dinner at mum and dads
Home to pack for my trip to Manchester with work
Early night as very early start on Monday morning

>Today I finally made the phone call I have wanted to formany months now and put my name forward to get information on Home-start training.  I work fulltime and as such my time at homeis reduced but as I have a supportive network I have been able to cope well.

Not everyone is lucky to have family and friends nearby andas such they seldom get help, company or a break from the demands of being aparent. I am fortunate in that I can easily call on many people who wouldwillingly mind my children or step in and help me at any given time.

As such I felt I would like to help someone out, I posted ontwitter and was advised that you had to commit to 2 hours minimum a week anddecided this was something I would be able to do.  Training is over an 8 week period and wouldinvolve a lot of juggling if I decided it would be something I wanted to do.

I called MrR to tell him I would be meeting with someonenext week and his response was ‘how will you fit it in and don’t we have enoughon our plates?’

The answers being I’m not sure yet but I would fit it in andyes I have plenty but this is something I would like to try.

Am I being naïve and idealistic as I would like to givesomeone a helping hand and a bit of support that I was lucky enough to get fromfamily?
Should I wait until my own two are older as I would in fact fit the criteriaof getting support from Home-start rather than giving it?

I will let you know how I get on next week
