If there is one thing that really infuriates me it is seeing the above on a website. Whether it is the fact the website will only deliver to the mainland or even worse they decide that they need to add on exorbitant charges for Northern Ireland.
So many times I go to buy something where postage is free over a certain spend amount and after taking time filling my on-line basket I realise not only will my postage not be free but they want to charge me over £10 to send the items by courier when parcel post would be more than suitable
Northern Ireland is part of the UK we use royal mail over here and most things can be sent by regular post or parcel post at exactly the same cost as it would be to send on the UK Mainland. Heavier items, yes may require a courier but businesses can and do get large discounts on courier charges once they sign up to a contract.
Sellers please start looking into charging us the same as the mainland where possible and stop imposing surcharges. Otherwise we just keep looking elsewhere.
At least one website has lost my custom this week alone. Am I alone or does this annoy other Northern Ireland people?
