A busy week full of stress and as such I am totally exhausted today!

Monday had meetings in work on one of my roles, it was very useful and am filled with ideas and plans for things to do. K and Buster were with MrR and went to soft play.

Tuesday had external auditors in for our assessment and to say I was nervous would be an understatement.  I was on edge all day but we passed and I was on a high! MrR brought K and Buster to the Park during a bit of dry weather.

Wednesday had another one of my early morning starts for a flight to Birmingham.  I was out with clients this time and I was petrified I would mess up.  Thankfully it went OK and I started to relax when I got back to the airport. K enjoyed being mum while I was away and Buster wouldn’t talk to me on the phone as he was too busy- it’s good to know I am missed.

Thursday totally exhausted mentally and physically but had a day in work.  MrR got a homemade crown put on his head in bed this morning by K and Buster to thank him for all the nice things he does, when I asked if I did anything I was told nope! Once I got home from work I brought K and Buster out on their bikes for a quick cycle and then home to bed.

Friday into work and then in the evening had to wait in for the delivery of my new fridge- my life is so exciting! Missed chippy night

Saturday up early to shop for socks and some more camping stuff.  Home to finish three more monkeys and have been asked for 10 more! Picked up dads birthday cake in the evening and then got ready for his party.  Was at mum and dads for 18:00 and had a great relaxed party to celebrate my dads 60th.  K gave in at 10:35 and asked to go home to bed, once home I went to bed immediately too!

Sunday K and Buster asked to go to Church with my mum so MrR left them down while I worked at editing a picture from last nights party.  It was the first time we had a photograph of all mum and dads grandchildren so I want to get it ready as quick as possible.  Went to mum and dads for dinner and then home for an early night for K and Buster- they were asleep just after 18:00. It was raining hard today so the plan to test our new tent was a no go.

After a busy week this one was a lot quieter!

Monday was a bank holiday in England but not one that I got in Northern Ireland.  i went to work while my mum and sister brought K and Buster to a Jubilee picnic- they forgot to take photos :-) I missed going to the lighting of the Beacon as MrR had to work and my two were sleeping.

Tuesday was a public holiday due to the Jubilee but as the weather was horrible we didn’t venture too far. Once my two were sleeping I finished off the puppet theatre and puppets.  A stomach bug is doing the rounds and I didn’t feel great

Wednesday K was back at school and I was in work.

Thursday – K is six! Happy birthday.

K went to school and Buster was to have gone to his child-minder but he thought he was missing something at home so wouldn’t stay! We collected K from school at 11 and went with Buster and MrR to stand at the side of the lough  and await the Olympic torch passing us- it was going on a boat across the lough.  The weather was freezing and raining and so we got soaked.

K and Buster then went off for a shopping trip with their Granny and great aunt (my in-laws) and had a fantastic time.  k came home like a teenager with at least 6 shopping bags. While they were away I started making K’s cake for her party.

Friday After work I collected K and Buster and went to mum and dads for chippy night, I also took the chance to run to Asda and get cake and party ingredients.  Once home I tried to get K and Buster to sleep and then started on teh cake.  I finally got to bed at 01:30 after finishing the cake, starting cupcakes (cheating ones), and sorting party bags etc.

Saturday the day of the party! Got up made frosting for cupcakes, cut fruit for Pirate boat, made three extra tutus, steamed floors etc and was still wearing my slippers when the party guests arrived.  All went well and everyone had fun.  Started to sleep train Buster tonight as he wouldn’t go to sleep despite being tired and after over an hour of lying beside him I was fed up! I sat beside him on a beanbag and after 1 1/2 hours he fell asleep.

Sunday was another unexpected sunny day! we didn’t go too far as my two were tired and grumpy. We visited mum and dads and then came home and painted wooden birdhouses outside.  Tonight was night two of sleep training Buster and it only took ten minutes with no tears, however he woke constantly through the night and I ended up sleeping on our large beanbag at the side of his bed.

tonight has been spend making party bags- simple ones this time as everything is going to be streamlined and Buster friendly.  I have also been cutting out masks and finger puppets backed with card to strengthen them that I found here

Sewing still isn’t finished and the cake needs baked but will have to be done tomorrow night.
