I have long been admiring both on twitter and on Pinterest the Family Rules vinyls that are sold on Not On The High Street by Lucy’s Locket. They have been added to my wish list and will be purchased in the future when I have some spare pennies.
I was extremely lucky one night on twitter as I was offered the opportunity to try out a new product that Lucy’s Locket is trialling. The new product allows a vinyl to be made of your children’s own handwriting. I got K to write something using a black marker on an A4 page and then scanned it to Alyson for her to work her magic.

Love you so much in the whole wide world Kxxx age 5 <3
This is something we say everyday in the house and is a phrase that means something both to the children and to us.
Today MrR set about putting it up on the wall, I decided to put it at child height in between both bedrooms so that it will be read on the way to bed each night.
MrR set about getting the words to stick up and it did take him a bit of time to make sure they letters were stuck up properly but I think it was time well spent.

I didn’t tell my two about it and they went down the hall to put their toys away this evening and all I could hear was
‘who did that?’
‘did you write on the wall?’
‘what does it say?’
followed by K trying to sound out each word.

Once I told them it was okay and it wasn’t technically writing on the wall they loved it.
Thanks again Lucy’s Locket we will be back for presents in the future
sorry have censored K’s full name for the blog
