Monday was a  day in work as normal nothing much happened of note.

Tuesday I took a day off work and Buster and I went to help out with the big Beach clean.  Afterwards we went to Ikea where Buster watched the planes – unfortunately we only saw one!  We bought some frames for craft projects and then left to go home.

Wednesday back to work. Had a meeting with K’s teacher and she is doing good and everything is finally starting to click.  Her maths and English has come on a lot and we got ideas on what to help her with over the summer. K had her swimming lesson after school and Buster continued to go to sleep easily but wake numerous times in the night.

Thursday a bad start to the day I had to peel Buster off me and leave him screaming at the childminders- he is just overtired and was fine the minute I left but it was so hard walking out.

Friday chippy night at mum and dads

Saturday Mum, Buster and I went bargain shopping in Primark, TkMaxx and Matalan.  I got some sandals, trousers for work, skirts and shoes. Afterwards we went to Greenmount centenary Fair Buster was exhausted as he is still waking in the night so left early and when I came home at 17:45 he was already sleeping for the night. We watched a DVD which I found very weird, MrR liked it though and I can’t even remember the name of it!

Sunday Fathers Day, Buster woke once in the night but MrR went to him.  MrR was off doing a 60 mile cycle while we pottered at home.  We then went to mum and dads for dinner and afterwards came home so I could get ready for an early start in the morning for another work trip.  Just in case I forget to add in next week- Buster slept all night by himself!

After a six year break the Greenmount summer Fair returned this year to celebrate its Centenary.  We attended the last fair with K in a sling being just 2 weeks old and were excited to return this year to see if it was still as good as it had been.

The weather this morning was grim but we got K and Buster into their wellies and set off with my mum and MrR.  The entrance cost was £5 per adult with children free. After a walk through the field that the cars were parking in we arrived and started with the craft fair.

I love craft fairs but was disappointed with this one, i didn’t spend anything which is unusual for me!

We then went on into the campus and K and Buster went into the pen to pet the Beagles – this cost £1 each.  They then wanted to see the police car but were too nervous to get into the driving seat! After this K planted a sunflower seed which met a grim end on the way home! Buster queued for a balloon sword £1.50 and K a flower, we go the easy way out as my nephew got his face painted, not particularly well and it cost £4!

We moved on to the next marquee and K and Buster got to make ladybirds and loved this. We didn’t visit the animals as seeing sheep and cows isn’t of much interest to my two as they see them most days. We brought them to the start again where we were told the bouncy castles were free of charge, those at the back of the campus were not free! While K and Buster bounced and jumped we had tea and coffee.

Some dinner followed in the food hall and afterwards Buster went home with MrR. We went to look at the flowers and mum was disappointed as there wasn’t as many made up boxes this year so we left empty handed.

We walked back up through the campus and watched ladies on bicycles and went into the walled garden and K played skittles.  After an ice-cream the rain came on and we decided to call it a day.

It was a really good day out but I don’t think it was as good as years gone by.  Everything seemed expensive however the free children’s activities were very welcome!

The college is beautiful and the grounds are stunning, I would love to get the chance to go and take photographs without the crowds being about.
