It is amazing just how good everything seems when the sun is shining!
K, Buster and I went away for the weekend with my sister N and niece T. We have a caravan in Fermanagh on the edge of Lough Erne and haven’t been down yet this year. I packed for a normal weekend so included coats, trousers jumpers etc but as a last minute addition added shorts and t-shirts.
Friday night we got down about 20:00 to get the caravan sorted and try and unpack the fully loaded car. We sat around ate junk and the kids went to bed around 11 with us making it at about 01:00.

Saturday morning we were up and out by 10:00 to go to Omagh show. I packed shorts etc just in case but didn’t bring suncream and regretted it as it was boiling! The kids had a ball and ended up with bags of freebies and enough pens and pencils to last for ages! K held a chick and T fell in love with a puppy called Holly. K also somehow got to sit on a tiny pony similar to a Shetland. We met up with my friend and her boys and I’m not sure how we managed to carry all the leaflets, and other bits they all gathered. I really regretted not bringing my camera or being organised and buying a new smaller one
We went back to the caravan and K practiced on her bike while I hyperventilated from running alongside her! Later my MIL came down and watched all three children while my sister and I went to the on site bar for a drink- I seldom get out so it was a lovely spur of the moment thing- I only had one west coast cooler rose but thoroughly enjoyed it.

I finally got the ok to pack up the car after getting my two in the pjs and they slept most of the way home, unfortunately they woke when we got home and are still running round hyper!!
I had a fantastic weekend and hope we get some more similar ones this summer.
