My week just gone

This was to be my weekly plan but has now turned into a round up of what happened each week instead!

I haven’t done this so far in 2013 so will try and get it back on track.

I had a busy week last week.

Monday I had visitors come over to work and we went to a local hotel for lunch, that was after we tried to find each other for half an hour while walking in circles around Belfast’s Europa Bus station and hotel! Monday night we went out for dinner to a local restaurant.

Tuesday I had an early meeting and was dreading driving in the snow  thankfully the roads were not too bad, luckily as we had little time for error as one of my visitors had to get an early flight back home.  Tuesday night I had an OT parents teaching evening and I was the only one that turned up!

Wednesday was a day in work and nothing exciting was planned

Thursday after work we had a very quick pick-up and home to get ready to go out for a family dinner with my in-laws.  I was extremely worried about how my two would do as the dinner was booked for 18:30 and they are normally in bed at this time! Thankfully they were great as although the food was lovely service was extremely slow.

Friday we all slept in after the late night before and I decided to keep K and Buster off school.  Today was R’s 8th anniversary and this year we didn’t plan any trips out but I did have a day off work.  I was ok but did have a short temper and comfort ate all day! K drew me a lovely picture of a cross to remind me of how R died – we did explain he didn’t die on a cross, RE teaching gone a bit wrong? Buster played dead babies and I ate crisps and doughnuts! K and Buster went to their nanny and granda’s and MrR and I went out for lunch.

Saturday Buster and I moved K’s room and the gym about and got them both organised and set up without too much help.  I finally managed to catch up with my very good but very neglected friend and had a lovely afternoon and evening with her.

Sunday we brought K and Buster to the cinema for kids club and then onto swimming they had a great morning but the swimming pool was overcrowded and unsafe- it seems they don’t bother to limit the numbers in and it was very dangerous we won’t go back on a Sunday again! They used to use bands and controlled numbers in this way but don’t seem to do this any more well not on a Sunday anyway. We then went to my mum and dads for dinner and later that evening my mum and I went to visit my uncle and aunt.

My week that was

Monday was an early start to the day for a drive to Dublin to work on a new system implementation.  Spent the day in the office and then went back to the hotel where I got an executive suite!

Tuesday – still in Dublin and Buster had school photographs taken in nursery.  Stayed overnight in the hotel again.

Wednesday – another day in Dublin but left to drive home so MrR could work.  Got home just before my two fell asleep

Thursday – up early to get my two organised for school, met MrR in his work car park to hand over K for the school run and then left Buster to the child-minder before driving back to Dublin for the day.  Drove home again in the pouring rain!

Friday – a day in my office followed by chippy night at mum and dads although dad had to go to a work event so missed out!

Saturday- a day making monkeys.  K went to dancing and then we went shopping.

Sunday – more monkeys made today as well as my first dinosaur and a finished a doll too! We only ventured out to mum and dads for dinner.

Next week is a week in the office so not as much running or driving around!

again I am running behind due to this week being hectic. But here goes my week that was

Monday I had my Homestart voluntary work and in the evening had a support meeting too. My car got hit by a driver while I was sitting in their car that’s a very surreal experience!

Tuesday K and Buster are off all week for half term and MrR is mainly minding.

Wednesday – Halloween! K had her swimming lesson and I met them there with costumes and make-up.  Buster and K both were happy just to look like they had been pulled through a hedge backwards and loved their look! We went to my sisters for a party where they both got to go out trick or treating Buster was telling people he wasn’t allowed chocolate and was most insistent we checked his bucket for things he was allergic to!

Thursday a day in work and K and Buster were at their nannies.

Friday I took the day off work and we went out for a walk, played games and I did some sewing yet again.

Saturday MrR allowed me to sleep in so K missed her Irish dancing and Buster isn’t going to football in the winter I am not standing freezing at the side of a pitch!

Sunday MrR was off work so we had a day in the house just relaxing and enjoying doing nothing.  MrR made us a lovely Sunday dinner which of course my two didn’t appreciate but I loved it!  I sewed until midnight and then quickly threw some clothes into my suitcase and set the alarm for an early start for a work trip to Dublin
