Anyone for Croquet Garden Games review

Living in wet and windy Northern Ireland it was perhaps not the best idea to volunteer to review a garden game in October.  After waiting for a dry day that would enable us to get out into the garden to test out the game I have finally given up and my two have been having fun testing the Cottage croquet set out inside.

On opening the large green bag the first glimpse of the croquet set shows that it is extremely well made and substantial. Inside the bag there are 4 hardwood mallets and four coloured balls as well as hoops a peg and instructions.

As mentioned we have as yet been unable to get the set out for a proper game but have kept the bag in the boot of the car so that if we happen to find a non-water logged piece of ground we can immediately get the croquet set out and see if the indoor practising has helped.

The mallets and balls are reduced in size for children and as such will be good for age 6 + I have also found them to be no problem and have not had to stoop while using them.

We will have great fun knocking daddies ball out of the running and look forward to being able to test this set thoroughly. At £84.99 this would make a lovely gift for a family and will be used at many family garden parties next summer.  I am looking forward to reliving some of my favourite childhood films where the girls all dressed in party dresses played croquet in the sun while others sat around chatting and having fun.

I was sent the cottage croquet set for review but all opinions expressed are my own
