What is in a name?

I would love to set up my own business either selling my craft items(I would have to improve a lot) or with my photography- (ditto). However what eludes me so far apart from money and time would be a name.  I have no idea what I could call myself that would be classy and at the same time identify who I was and what I was doing.

Some ideas would be

  • Caught by 2.4children(insert my name here)
  • made by  2.4children(insert my name here)
  • photography by  2.4children(insert my name here)
  • twopointfourphotography
  • 2.4photography
  • photos by 2.4
  • and two others that to me sound good but  in order to tell you them you would have to know my surname- arghh

This week I will be making plans to get more experience in photography.  I have been cheeky and asked if I can take some pictures of a newborn baby and his family. I also have an older baby and his parents to photograph in September and I still need to fit in pictures of two families of 3 children and another of 2 ‘tweenagers’.

I would also love to schedule in a generation style picture or two as well as some pet photographs. Most will be taken outside but the weather being how it is means this could change in seconds!  I will be logging into Pinterest and creating some mood boards I think for ideas.

I should start a page on the blog of photos taken so far and of ones that people have displayed on their walls etc as well as the wedding I captured a couple of years ago.  For now this is only for me as a hobby but who knows what could happen in the future.

I have lights and a backdrop and they may get to come out at last! I also now have my Xara software so can work at getting to grips with it and seeing what all it can do.
