Hama beads review

Hama beads are new to our family and have been something we have looked at but up to now have never purchased. I was lucky to be offered the chance to review them by Patch of Puddles and we jumped at the chance to give them a go.

We received a set of beads and K and I settled down to make some summer themed pictures.  We made a beach scene with someone flying a kite and another on the beach along with a huge sun and bright blue sky.  When it came to ironing them I failed and had the temperature wrong on the iron and ended up melting both the beads and board.

We then tried again and K made a colourful butterfly and then a lady in a bikini, sunglasses and hat holding a drink.  Again I tried ironing them but this time I was too timid and din’t iron them enough.

We loved making these but for now will stick to making pictures and then reusing the beads rather than me wrecking all the efforts- I knew ironing wasn’t one of my talents!

You have the chance to win a fantastic competition over on Patch of puddles to win a £100 gift voucher.  Head on over and link up your summer holiday themed pictures.  While you are there check out the pictures on beadmerrily of fantastic Olympic people that they made all with Hama beads!

I was provided with Hama beads for this review but all opinions expressed are my own

Lol…. oh dear… the trick is to do the iron on 2 and then go slowly and carefully… what you need is more practice!
