My week gone by – week 25

This week was a busy week and one I had worried about for a while!

Monday after a night of Buster sleeping through while I woke constantly I got up early to get a flight to London.  On arrival I took a bus to the car hire section and sorted out my rental.  I asked for a sat nav as I have never driven in England before and was told they had NO sat navs- I was petrified.

I had thankfully printed out directions so made it to the first office without too much bother. After borrowing a Sat Nav I then drove to Portsmouth and stayed in a hotel overnight. I went out for a short walk and the view was stunning and so quiet. After dinner in the bar and some tweeting I returned to my room and  I couldn’t get my wifi to work so went to bed at 20:00.

Tuesday I left the hotel at 08:30 and went to the first stop. After visiting the office I then drove to Wales for my second stop of the day. I then returned the car to Bristol airport and then waited about for 4 hours before getting my flight home.

Wednesday was K’s sports day and we all went which was great as I had been away on the two previous dates that had been rained off.  K was not impressed that she hadn’t won! I went into work once it was over while MrR brought K and Buster to Funky Monkey’s and then later to K’s last swimming lesson for the term- he took Buster in while the lesson was on. I started packing for Britmumslive

Thursday A work day and once finished I collected K and Buster and we went shopping for dinner.  Once home and dinner was eaten and my two in bed I finished packing for the weekend.  My mum stayed over so that I could go early in the morning for my flight.

Friday a day off work! was up at 04:00 and my taxi arrived to take me to the airport at 05:00.  I met with JanMary at the airport and we travelled to London together.  We went window shopping in Convent garden and for some lunch where we ended up sitting beside the loudest and most self absorbed man ever!

JanMary and I walked to The Brewery for Britmumslive and it was so good to have someone to walk in with and know I had someone to talk to when things got overwhelming!

I will do a separate post on Britmumslive and should have it up soon so won’t post it here! After the conference ended for the night I went to Al Volo for dinner with about 25 others including TheboyandMe, jax2000, fivegoblogging, MummyMishaps, From-Fun-to-mum, Actuallymummy and the Lovebump- we got some great goody bags and had far too much food served!

Saturday was a busy day and I was exhausted! I managed to get a manicure and massage fitted in as well as the sessions and visiting the brands represented. When finished I collected up my many bags and Janmary and I went to All Bar One for dinner before I struggled to make it across London with all my bags! I stayed in My aunts and the tubes were messing around and it took ages to get there, when I finally made it I had forgotten the house number so had an emergency call round to find out the house number!

Sunday was a lazy morning and I stayed in my aunts chatting and trying to pack and figure out what to leave behind.

twopointfourchildren bagsI met JanMary again and we travelled to Gatwick together again before finally boarding our flight home with one very full and heavy bag each! Once home at 20:00 my two fell on their presents declaring me the best! Once I finally got them to bed I collapsed into my own after an extremely busy but enjoyable weekend.
