Today we had our first day out this year in the sunshine, not much heat really but dry and bright.  We packed the car up with bikes and flickers and set off. The gardens that were empty when I walked through them yesterday were full today everyone was out enjoying the dry day.

K went off cycling on her bike loving that she didn’t need any help at all Buster was a lot slower to get going but finally I was able to run beside him holding onto the seat of his bike.  I even got to let go on about 5 occasions so hopefully he will be on his own very soon!

After cycling we brought the bikes back to the car and swapped them for the flickers, this was their first trip out and they loved it.  K flew ahead of us and to catch up Buster went on his with me behind, we drew some envious and strange looks! Buster ended up running while K kept going and I either pushed or went on the flicker.  We walked at least a mile before turning and going back to the car again.

After dropping off the flickers we went back to the formal gardens (or maze as K calls them) and they ran around, K kept lying on the ground hiding dressed all in black it wasn’t a great idea.

Once exhausted from the trip out we went to my mum and dads for Sunday dinner and to catch up with all their cousins bar a couple.

We had a fantastic day out and the only money spent was the little amount of petrol used!
