>It’s beginnning to look a lot like Christmas

On Saturday we decided to put our our Christmas tree or really I should say I decided and used my two to put pressure on MrR. On Saturday morning we went to K’s school Christmas fair and then afterwards went visiting Granny Pat and did a little shopping.

Once hope I made dinner and woke MrR up(he had been working night shift and was exhausted as he had stayed up to go to the fair). Once dinner was over the mammoth task of getting the tree down from the loft started.

MrR helps get the tree down but after that I do the decorating. First off was putting the tree together, its only in three parts but is so big and heavy it exhausts me!

Then was my favourite bit (Not) untangling the lights and getting them onto the tree. I put two sets on and couldn’t muster up the energy for the third set.

While I did the lights and started to put on some decorations MrR toasted Marshmallows on our burner and we made ourselves sick of eating them- it only took two for me, MrR had one and that was plenty!

I then gave in and allowed Buster and K to help decorate. My temper did go a few times as the decorations kept being dropped but we got there and they loved helping. Some branches have two decorations on them but not many so I am going to try and leave them as they are.

Once the tree was done I decided a family picture was in order, excuse the dirty faces on K and Buster, I *think* mine and MrR’s are clean!

Two pictures of our finished tree, we need to get a new angel for the top so that’s on my list for this week.

Finally some of R’s decorations. R was alive for one Christmas and had a lovely little reindeer from M&S in his incubator(I searched for a replica but could never find one) and from then on I have always bought R reindeer’s at Christmas. The tree has many reindeer’s as well as special decorations R got in NICU.

We buy a special decoration every year for R, Buster and K and in this way the tree is full of special and treasured items and memories.
